Noorya did her undergraduate and PhD studies at the Australian National University, in the Dehorter Lab at the Eccles Institute of Neuroscience. She is currently continuing her research as a post-doctoral fellow at the Queensland Brain Institute, Universtiy of Queensland. Her interests lie in understanding mechanisms underlying neuronal connection formation during development, in health and disease, as well as in the diverse effects of neuromodulatory systems in circuit formation and refinement. She specialises in electrophysiology, immunohistochemical staining and imaging, and behavioural assays.

The brain is incredibly complex, even though we may never understand it, we can at least try. Doing this sort of research is therefore our avenue to the future.
